Due to its geographical location in the 3-border area of Germany, Switzerland and France and the number of forwarding, transport and logistics companies in the area, Loerrach is an ideal location for an industry that has traditionally had an international focus.
How long does the education take?
Study periods and internships consist of six half-year terms totalling 144 weeks. Half of this time is spent in operational training in logistics companies.
What do I learn at the Berufsakademie Loerrach and in the company?
As agreed upon by the University of Cooperative Education and the partnering companies, the students learn how to organize and operate domestic and international transports, using different carriers as well as logistical processes. They are also obliged to work in the administrative departments like marketing, accounting and finance, controlling and human resources.
The on-campus part of studies is organized in 54 weeks of theory and 18 weeks of applied theory. Special emphasis is given to the general courses in business administration such as financial and management accounting in transport companies, special courses in business administration for the forwarding and logistics industry, mathematics and statistics, information technology, economics and business law. We also give special attention to e-logistics, controlling in logistics companies and language training.

You are versatile applicable in all economic or logistics areas of the company which you learnt during your eductation.
